Insider Budapest is a mobile-first Progressive Web App (PWA) based in Budapest, Hungary (“we”, “us”, “our”). The app is accessible at go.insiderbudapest.app and provides curated walking itineraries, interactive maps, landmark information, food and drink recommendations, and a social sharing feature (“moment cards”) for tourists visiting Budapest. By accessing or using Insider Budapest, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Insider Budapest is a digital product. It is not a travel agency, tour operator, or licensed guide service. The content provided — including routes, descriptions, and recommendations — is curated editorial content and does not constitute professional travel advice. The app offers two itinerary programs (a 3-day morning arrival program and a 2.5-day afternoon arrival program), walking routes, landmark information with insider tips, food and bar location recommendations, and a shareable moment card feature. All content is accessed via a web browser. No app store download is required.
Access to Insider Budapest costs €8 for a 1-year period from the date of purchase. Payment is processed by our payment provider, who acts as our merchant of record and handles all transaction processing, receipts, and tax obligations on our behalf. After purchase, you will be directed to create an account using a magic link sent to your emaila ddress. Your access is personal and non-transferable. One purchase grants access to one user account. Access expires automatically 1 year after your purchase date. We are not obligated to notify you before expiry, though we may choose to do so.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of the email address associated with your account. You must not share your account credentials or magic link access with others. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that show signs of shared or unauthorized use.
You agree not to:
- Copy, reproduce, redistribute, or resell any content from the app
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to extract content or data
- Attempt to access administrative areas, other user accounts, or backend systems
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Interfere with the operation of the app or its underlying infrastructure
All content in Insider Budapest — including text, images, maps, routes, moment card designs, and branding — is owned by us or licensed to us and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content without our prior written permission. Moment cards generated by you within the app are yours to share on social media and personal channels. This does not grant any broader license to the underlying design templates or app content.
Insider Budapest is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties, express orimplied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the content. Walking routes are curated suggestions and may not account for temporary closures, construction, weather conditions, or changes to public spaces. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the app. Service may be affected by maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of or inability to use Insider Budapest. This includes, but is not limited to, personal injury, property damage, lost profits, or data loss. Our total liability for any claim related to Insider Budapest shall not exceed the amount you paid for your access (€8). Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Insider Budapest uses third-party services including Google Maps (for map rendering and navigation), Supabase (for authentication and data), and a third-party payment processor (forc heckout). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party services.
When you tap “Get directions” within the app, it opens Google Maps or your default navigation app. We are not responsible for directions, navigation accuracy, or any incidents that occur while following routes.
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
These terms are governed by the Hungarian laws. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Budapest, Hungary.
