We want you to be happy with Insider Budapest. Because it is a digital product with immediate access upon purchase, refund eligibility is limited. However, we are committed to being fair.
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, who acts as our merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy's consumer terms apply to all transactions.
You may request a full refund within 14 days of your purchase date, provided that:
- You have not used the app extensively (e.g., visited fewer than 5 landmarks or started fewer than 2 routes)
- You contact us with a brief reason for the refund request
This 14-day period aligns with the EU Consumer Rights Directive cooling-off period for digital content. By using the app after purchase, you acknowledge that you have requested immediate access to the digital content and understand that this may affect your right of withdrawal under EU law.
By completing your purchase and accessing the app, you consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once access to the digital content has begun, in accordance with EU consumer law and Lemon Squeezy's consumer terms.

- A brief reason for the refund (this helps us improve the product)
We aim to respond to refund requests within 3 business days.
Approved refunds are processed through our payment provider. The refund will be returned to your original payment method. Processing times vary by payment provider and your bank but typically take 5–10 business days.
All refunds are processed by Lemon Squeezy as the merchant of record. Refund approval is subject to Lemon Squeezy's refund policy. We will advocate for your refund request with Paddle, but the final decision rests with Lemon Squeezy.
Refunds may be declined if:
- The request is made more than 14 days after purchase
- The account shows significant use of the app content
- There is evidence of abuse, account sharing, or fraudulent purchase
Refunds may also be refused by Lemon Squeezy if there is evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or manipulative behavior.
If you experience technical issues that prevent you from using the app (e.g., the app does not load, authentication fails, routes do not display), please contact us first at info@insiderbudapest.app. We will work to resolve the issue. If we cannot resolve a genuine technical problem within a reasonable timeframe, we will offer a full refund regardless of the 14-day window.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including rights relating to products that are not as described, faulty, or not fit for purpose.
